BAAM G-Code and Dashboard

June 9, 2020 Written by Randy Mueller

Many thanks to Lonnie Love, Brian Post, and ORNL MDF staff for working with us on this first-of-a-kind project to demonstrate the utility of large area additive manufacturing for small hydro production parts. A special shout out to Alex Roschli (PI) and Katherine Gaul for your efforts and special attention to Cadens’ production parts for our AM test bed. Looking forward to working with you all in a successful Phase II. The upper right panel shows the BAAM printing the diffuser – our draft tube is about 10′ long, end-to-end and weighs ~666 lbs. fully assembled. We affectionately call it “The Beast.”
